Anuradha Bhaumick is an artist from Bangalore, India. She learnt embroidery at the age of 5 from her mother. In January 2020 she left her day job as a Denim Designer to pursue embroidery full time. Since then she has been profiled by Vogue, Vice and My Modern Met, to name a few. Anuradha’s art has found homes across the globe, from Brazil to Australia and Germany to The Bahamas.

Anuradha is a member of The Society For Embroidered Work. She has previously sold her work through the online gallery PxP Contemporary. In 2020, Anuradha was a part of the online exhibition Unleashing Magic by Create Magazine which showcased the works of 35 artists from all over the world & in different mediums created during the pandemic.

Anuradha is part of Method Bandra’s Group Show titled “A Small Part of The Big Picture” which runs from October 20th - November 16th 2022. The pieces from her collection are available through this link.

Through her art practice she wishes to embroider the objects that form the patina of one’s life story; creating a mini universe and exploring the relationship between a person and their surroundings. Anuradha uses her mother’s kurta scraps to collage her pieces.

Anuradha is the proud pug parent of Olive, who rescued her on December 2021. When Anuradha is not embroidering she is busy taking care of Olive’s Garden, her terrace garden named after the same beloved pug.
